I really like having the ability to cut my own matting. It truly is quite glorious!

The result of this weekend’s mat-cutting frenzy:

as well as a few more, which can now be found in the shop.

Ever the struggle, however, is properly photographing my paper-cuts.  Somehow I can never get the colors and lighting quite right.  These, for example, are darker here and have slightly different colors than in real life.  Sure, Photoshop is my friend, but I wouldn’t deign to call it my best friend; it can only do so much for me.

So friends, any insights on lighting and photography? :)
